The TaxProfBlog has a post from Prof. Jim Maule of Villanova Law School, who has observed that the date-bidding services on WhatsYourPrice.com, on which “generous” people bid for dates with “attractive” people. Hard to call the payments a gift, so probably should be included as income. Most of the dates occur over dinner — more income, possibly.
